Welcome Back!!!!! The BLACK GOLD BRUTE OBSTACLE COURSE RACE returns to Drayton Valley, Alberta for our 4th year! Loop Style OCR...the more loops you do, the more distance, obstacles, and fun you will have! Competitive Heat is back, see if you can dethrone the reigning champions. NEW this year...challenge yourself to attempt the "Savage" or "Barbaric" levels, by completing over a half or full marathon Obstacle…

Distances last time
- 9AM COMPETITIVE HEAT
Must be 14 yrs old or older (14-17 yrs old must have parental consent). Three Loops (4.33km each), completing all obstacles (punishment for some failed obstacles). Fastest 3 men and women win prizes. First in for men and women win free…
- SAVAGE HEAT 9AM
You have 6 hours. Complete 6 Loops. After the third Loop, you will literally "Roll The Dice" at each Obstacle Station to determine your next Obstacle. If you complete this Level, a special prize is all yours!!!
- BARBARIC HEAT 9AM
You have 6 hours. Complete 10 Loops within the time limit, including all Obstacles. If you manage to complete this Level in the allotted time, you will receive a special reward.
- 10AM OPEN HEAT
Open to all racers. You can choose to do up to 3 Loops. With it being an Open Heat, we want you to try all obstacles, however there is no punishment for not completing them. Up to 12.99kms if you do all 3 Loops.
- 10:30AM OPEN HEAT
Open to all ages, no penalties for failed or missed obstacles. Do up to 3 Loops if you can!
- 11AM TEAM HEAT
Teams of 5. All teams must have at least one person complete every obstacle on the course. YOU CAN HELP EACH OTHER!!! You also will have "Team Specific" challenges to do throughout the race. First team to complete 3 Loops will win free…
- 11:30AM OPEN HEAT
Open to everyone. Complete as many obstacles as you can, and as many Loops as you can. No penalties for failed obstacles.
- NOON OPEN HEAT
Open to everyone. Do up to 3 Loops, do as many obstacles as possible. No penalties for failed or missed obstacles.
