Run of the Month
Once a month we pick the most ridiculous run submitted by a Canadian runner and feature it in the RaceFinder newsletter. Not the fastest — the best. The double-digit long run in a blizzard. The negative split nobody asked for. The 2AM ultra prep that scared a raccoon.
How it's judged
Distance
A casual 45K on a Tuesday says things about a person.
Pace held
Anyone can start fast. We're looking at kilometre 38, not kilometre 1.
Conditions
-25 with wind, 3AM start, freezing rain — Canada gives bonus points for free.
The story
A 5K where everything went wrong can beat a marathon where everything went right.
Submit a run
Paste a public activity link if you have one (Strava links are often private-by-default — check yours opens in an incognito window). No public link? Describe the run and we'll follow up by email for a screenshot. One submission per run; your own runs only.
The winner is picked by a human at the end of each month and featured in the monthly newsletter and on the site — first name only, and only with the permission you give above. No purchase, no entry fee, no speed requirement. While you're here: find your next race or track the ones you've done in your race passport.
