The RaceFinder giveaway
Every month, one newsletter subscriber wins a $25 gift card toward their running habit. No purchase, no catch, no spam — one email a month with new races near you, and a draw on the 1st. First draw: September 1, 2026.
- The prize
- One subscriber wins a $25 (CAD) electronic gift card to a Canadian sporting-goods retailer (for example Sport Chek), delivered by email. One draw per month. Approximate retail value: $25. The prize is not redeemable for cash.
- How to enter
- Subscribe to the RaceFinder newsletter with a valid email address — through the signup popup, the homepage form, or any race-alert form on the site. Subscribing is free. Every active subscriber automatically holds one entry in each monthly draw; one entry per person per draw, duplicate emails count once. No purchase of any kind is necessary and no payment improves your odds.
- Draw dates
- Draws take place on the 1st of each month, starting September 1, 2026. The winner is selected at random from all active subscribers at the time of the draw.
- Eligibility
- Open to residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory. Not open to the operator of RaceFinder or their immediate family.
- Claiming the prize
- The winner is contacted at their subscribed email address. To receive the prize, Canadian law requires the winner to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without assistance, and to reply within 7 days. If a winner doesn't reply in time or answers incorrectly, a new winner is drawn.
- Odds
- Odds of winning depend on the number of active subscribers at the time of each draw.
- Your email and your data
- Your email is used for the monthly newsletter and the draw — nothing else. It is never sold or shared. If you told us your city, it's used only to show you nearby races. Unsubscribe anytime with one click; unsubscribing removes you from future draws.
- The boring-but-important part
- This giveaway is run by RaceFinder (racefinder.ca), based in Guelph, Ontario, and is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by any prize retailer, race organizer or platform. RaceFinder may substitute a prize of equal value if a specific gift card is unavailable. By entering, you agree to these rules.
