- How does this find 5Ks near me?

- Can I sign up on race day?
- Often, yes. 5Ks are the most likely distance to take race-morning entries at the start line, and plenty keep online entry open until the day before. Open the race page and read the registration line — it says whether entry is open, closing, or closed, and what the organizer charges.
- What does a 5K cost in Canada?
- Most sit between $30 and $50, and community and charity runs are often less. Entry usually rises in the last weeks before race day, so the same race can cost noticeably more if you leave it late. Every race page shows the current price when the organizer publishes one.
- I've never raced before — is a 5K the right start?
- It is the usual one. The field at a 5K is mostly people running their first, walkers are normal at the back, and no 5K needs a training block longer than a few weeks. Look for a run with a 1K or 2K option beside it if you are bringing children.
