It is not one time nationwide. Of the 59 locations listed, 52 have published a timetable: 27 of the 52 start at 10 a.m. local time, the earliest at 9 a.m., the latest at 1:15 p.m. — each location's page carries its own schedule, so check the one you are running.

What distances are there?

At the Canadian Cancer Society's own locations, a 5K and a 1K, and both can be run or walked — runners and walkers start together, which is why the 1K exists. A few independent community runs set their own course; their pages say so.
