Terry Fox Run 2026

Terry Fox Run — FAQ

When is the next Terry Fox Run?

Not announced yet. The 2026 edition ran on Sunday, September 20, 2026; this page is rebuilt from the race calendar daily and will show the next date once it is published.

Does the Terry Fox Run cost anything to enter?

No — there's no entry fee and no minimum donation. It's a fundraiser for the Terry Fox Foundation, so donations are the point, but nobody is charged to take part. No timing chips or finish clock either: you pick a distance and you go.

How far is the Terry Fox Run?

There is no set distance. Each site marks its own route, and you run, walk or ride as far as you like — that has been the point since the first one in 1981.

When is the Terry Fox School Run?

National School Run Day in 2026 is Monday, September 28, but each school picks its own day, and many run theirs later in September or in October — your school will tell you. School runs are organised by the schools themselves through terryfoxschoolrun.org, so they are not listed here as races.

How many Terry Fox Run events are there in Canada?

RaceFinder listed 32 for the 2026 edition, across 10 provinces and 2 territories and 32 cities, all on Sunday, September 20, 2026. The organizer's own site has the complete list, including smaller community events that never reach a race calendar. This page is rebuilt from the calendar daily, so it reflects what is listed rather than a number someone typed once.

Where do I register for the Terry Fox Run?

Through the organizer's national page, terryfox.org/terry-fox-run, which handles every location — each location's page links there. RaceFinder never takes signups or a cut.
