About this race
Fernie Tears and Gears was inspired by two friends who loved to trail run (Abi) and mountain bike (Krista), but could never find an event to compete in together. Thus, Fernie’s first Mountain Duathlon was born in 2010 and was held annually until 2019 marking the race's 10th Anniversary.
