About this race

The Classic, established in 1985 when David Wong and friends gathered on the last Sunday of September to run this beautiful route and celebrate the end of summer. The route takes runners through the scenic Garibaldi Park, starting with the Cheakamus Lake trail’s switchbacks and passing Taylor Creek’s flower-filled meadows, the volcanic Black Tusk, and ending at Garibaldi Lake’s shores.
